Yamada Asaemon Fuchi is the 9th rank Asaemon in the Yamada Clan and was chosen to be Tamiya Gantetsusai's assigned monitor.

Fuchi is a rational thinker that has a good sense of judgement in situations and carries a no-nonsense view when it comes to matters that he deems are unscientific, pointless, and illogical. He has great pride as a Yamada Asaemon and does not tolerate anybody speaking disgracefully about the Yamada clan. He is very close with his Asaemon comrades and gives them nicknames instead of using honourifics. Even though the Yamada clan mainly deal with testing new swords and executions, Fuchi preferrs, and has a deep passion, for studying the human anatomy to improve medical science that came with the trade. He whole-heartedly believes that anatomical research would save lives…
