1What we collect
- Your account: username, email address, and your password, which is only ever stored as a secure hash (we can't read it).
- Your profile: anything you add, such as a profile picture, banner, bio, tags, favourites, Discord or X handle, and the AniList or MyAnimeList username you link, with the list we import from it (titles, which list each is on, and your scores).
- Your play: scores, game results, Daily Challenge results, quests, cards, gems, dust and levels.
- Social: friends, guilds, comments on profiles and guilds, guild posts, and lobby chat.
- Discord: if you link Discord, your Discord user ID and username.
- Supporter purchases: these go through Ko-fi, which sends us the name, email, amount and transaction ID of your payment so we can give you your perks. We never see your card or bank details.
- Gem purchases: these go through PayPal, which tells us the order and payment IDs, the amount, and the email of the PayPal account that paid, so we can add your gems and deal with any refund. We never see your card or bank details.
- Invites: who invited you, if you signed up with a friend's link, and a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address you signed up from and last used, so an invite from the same connection as the inviter doesn't pay out. The address itself isn't kept, and can't be worked back out.
- Technical: your IP address, used briefly to limit repeated sign-in, sign-up and password-reset attempts (kept for about an hour), and, when something breaks, the page address, the error and your browser version, so we can fix it. Our host keeps short-lived server logs.
2Cookies and local storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser's local storage keeps your game progress, settings and music preferences on your device.
We also use Google's ad tag (Google Ads). It sets Google's own cookies so we can see how many people reach the site from our ads on Google, and Google may use it to choose which ads it shows you. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center, or block these cookies in your browser. The game works the same without them.
3What other players can see
Your username and profile (picture, banner, bio, tags, favourites, linked AniList or MyAnimeList name, level, stats and card showcase), your comments, your guild, and your leaderboard places are public. Lobby chat is seen by the people in that lobby. Your email address and password are never shown to anyone.
4What we use it for
- Running the game: your account, scores, leaderboards, cards, guilds and multiplayer.
- Account emails only: verifying your address and resetting your password. No newsletters or marketing.
- Giving supporters their perks.
- Keeping the site safe and working: word filters, limits on repeated attempts, and fixing errors.
We don't sell your data. Your account details, like your email, are never given to advertisers. The only ad tool on the site is Google's tag, described above.
5Services that help run the site
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Supabase stores the database and the pictures you upload.
- Resend sends account emails.
- Discord is used to link your Discord account, and to notify the site owner.
- Ko-fi handles supporter payments.
- PayPal handles gem purchases.
- AniList and MyAnimeList: anime and character data comes from AniList, and we read the public list of the username you link.
- AnimeThemes provides the opening videos.
- PartyKit carries live updates in multiplayer lobbies.
- Google (Google Ads) measures visits from our ads. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
Each only gets what it needs to do its part.
6Keeping it, and deleting it
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your scores, cards, profile, friends, comments and lobbies for good. You can unlink AniList, MyAnimeList or Discord there too. Records of supporter payments may be kept for our accounts. To ask for a copy of your data, or for anything else removed, contact us.
7Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13. If you're under 13, please don't create an account.
